This bodysuit is of Goddess Arya Tara, who seems calm and beautiful but fierce with knowledge and power. She is viewed as the female counterpart to Avalokiteshvara, symbolizing compassion and the easing of suffering.
“Arya” means noble, and “Tara” means star or savior — the one who helps beings cross the ocean of suffering (samsara).
The White Tara (Sanskrit: Sitatara; Tibetan: Sgrol-dkar) was incarnated as the Chinese princess. She symbolizes purity and is often represented standing at the right hand of her consort, Avalokiteshvara, or seated with legs crossed, holding a full-blown lotus.
